Welcome.
I’m glad you are here.
Hi. You most likely read something written by me and then stumbled onto this page.
My name is Michael Vizdos and I’m here to help you to learn how to “Focus. #deliver”.
If you are reading this website and live / work in (or near) Richmond, Virginia, please read more about how we can work together here; if you are outside of Richmond, Virginia, no worries — I can and DO travel both nationally and internationally working with clients!
Please review my bio (Michael Vizdos) if that’s of interest or contact me anytime (you’ll get directly to me, I promise).
While You’re Here
I know you are busy and thank you for spending a few moments virtually with me.
Take a look around a bit here; I promise you’ll learn more about a few topics.
What kind of topics can you learn more about here?
Keep scrolling and reading [please].
Learn About Implementing Scrum And Agile Techniques
I’ve been doing this “Scrum and Agile Stuff” for the past 20+ years of my 30+ year professional career (you can view my professional background on my LinkedIn profile).
Please look into my consulting and training services; however, you can read — for free — the concepts and observations I share while we are Implementing Scrum in the real world (just like you might be doing) every day.
Implementing Scrum
Back in 2006, I started publishing “Scrum Chicken and Pig Cartoons.”
It kinda took on a life of it’s own and the site ImplementingScrum.com was born. We created over a hundred comic strips and I blogged about it weekly from 2006-20011ish.
Today, the only way to currently get them is to subscribe to my Saturday morning emails (I promise, it’s worth your time!).
Your Personal Journey Of Implementing Scrum
If you’ve read this far (thank you!), be aware we might be on different paths in our “journey” of Implementing Scrum in the real world.
Interested in learning more about why this context matters?
I’ve shared some specific information to help you based on “where you might be today”:
The Scrum Guide - Audio Book, YouTube Playlist, & Interactive Online Version
Besides my weekly Saturday morning emails (with millions of them sent to people over the years), you can:
The latest version of the Scrum Guide — in 2024 — is still the 2020 Scrum Guide published by the co-creators of Scrum (Ken and Jeff)
You can read about the revisions from their past 2017 Scrum Guide if you are interested too.
Additional Resources To Learn More About Scrum
I’ve published a few more Scrum Resources might be helpful for you:
Learn How To Do Less And Increase Your Productivity
Focus. #deliver
I read. A lot (probably too much but that’s my problem not yours lol).
I’ve also learn a lot over the years and share some of the things I use that might help you increase your productivity.
This “Focus. #deliver” concept started somewhere in 2012ish timeframe.
I started using it as my “signature” in most LinkedIn postings, blog articles, and any speaking engagements I deliver around the world.
The good thing is you can get some of that goodness (wisdom?) from me for free. How?
A few years ago, I started publishing weekly articles via a LinkedIn newsletter with one actionable tip to help you increase productivity by doing less.
Sounds counter-intuitive, right? Yeah, I know.
You can peruse my summary of the “Focus. #deliver” articles that are available today.
I’ve also published a few articles and overviews of some of the books on the topic that might help you:
What Next?
Phew.
You made it this far in the “wall of text” that many of my counterparts say is a bad thing to do.
You probably realize by now I am a pretty unconventional person. So, there's that.
Do I want you to buy something from me?
Sure. Please do.
How?
You can:
Really though, while I’d love if it you do any of the above things, that’s probably not why you are reading this right now.
So.
Please peruse some of the information I’ve shared with you above.
Better yet, before you go, please do ONE or all of the following:
Subscribe to my weekly Saturday morning emails about Implementing Scrum
Follow me on LinkedIn (and send me a message there to say hi!).
And.
I sincerely appreciate you.
Thank you for reading this and spending some time with me here today.
